Vinylplus® DIGITAL PASSPORT: COMMITTed TO TRANSPARENCY AND TRACEABILITY

On 23 January 2025, VinylPlus organises a FREE event on the VinylPlus® Digital Passport Programme. The event will take place at the Renaissance Brussels Hotel, in BrusselsBelgium.

VinylPlus® Digital Passport Programme - Discover Our Pilot Project

VinylPlus and an industry consortium of three flexible PVC products manufacturers - Beaulieu, Renolit and Sioen (all VinylPlus partners), in collaboration with 3E, a company specialised in the development of Digital Product Passports (DPPs), are running a project to develop and test DPPs for three different plasticised PVC products: tarpaulins, cushion flooring and roofing. These DPPs should enable the traceability of end-of-life products and stimulate plasticised PVC recycling in Europe.

    Stéphane has joined the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers (ECVM) in December 2021, where he is in charge of the Environmental Footprint Committee.  

    Previously, Stéphane worked in Cefic (2011-2021) and supported the Silicones sector group and the Plasticisers sector group. He was also a manager of Product Stewardship working on communication in the value chain. 

    He also worked for 11 years at Procter & Gamble (2000-2011) in analytical, product design and process development department for liquid detergent development. 

    Stéphane is graduated in Chemistry and got his PhD in the field of photochemistry in 1998 from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He also did a post doctoral stay at UCSD in the field of sensors (1998-2000).

    Jane Gardner is the Managing Director of the European Resilient Flooring Manufacturers' Institute (ERFMI), based in Brussels. With over 15 years of experience in sustainability and waste management, she focuses on advocacy, association management, and resource efficiency. 

    In her role at ERFMI, Jane is actively involved in standardization work, participating in CEN/TC 134, the European committee for resilient, textile, and laminate floor coverings, and ISO/TC 219, the international committee for floor coverings, where she serves as the convenor. 

    Jane is committed to working with the sector to advance the development of a circular economy for resilient floor coverings, promoting sustainable and practical solutions for the industry.

    Oscar holds a engineering degree from the Valladolid University specialized in structures and materials. He speaks Spanish and English. He works for the European Commission in the DG GROW construction unit. 
     
    After representing the interest of the industry, first in Spain and later at European level as technical director for Construction Products Europe, he joined the European Commission to support the implementation of the Construction Products Regulation. His tasks include collaboration with CEN on standardisation and the development of sustainability and circular economy criteria in the context of the European construction policy.

    Charlotte is managing VinylPlus and ECVM since January 2024.
    She has been working for the PVC  industry for  a decade, previously representing the interest of the PVC window profile industry towards policy-makers, standardization bodies and other sectors. Her functional experience includes the sustainability assessment of construction products, standardization activities, chemical and waste legislation and corresponding advocacy actions.

    Charlotte Röber completed her Masters in European and International Law at the University of Maastricht. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Vlerick Business School in Ghent.
